While the Disney Music Festival is in full swing in Disneyland® Park, this summer guests will also be able to (re)discover Frontierland and Adventureland, thanks to exciting new experiences specially imagined by the Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams to enrich the stories of both Lands.
Get ready to strike gold in Frontierland!
For the past few weeks, guests have been striking gold in Frontierland, setting off on a hunt for golden nuggets hidden throughout the Land.
They have been invited to help Will Ketchum, the Sheriff of Thunder Mesa, to recover the loot scattered by bandits all around the town.
This exciting adventure – dreamed up by the teams from Merchandise, On-site Communications, and Walt Disney Imagineering Paris – invites guests to (re)discover Frontierland in a fresh and fun-filled way!
The hunt for gold nuggets is deeply rooted in the rich history of Thunder Mesa, unfolding in every nook and cranny of this mythical Wild West town.
Taking part in this activity is easy – guests simply need to pick up a leaflet from certain Cast Members in Frontierland and start hunting for treasure. Once guests have tracked down 10 (or more!) gold nuggets, they can hand in their list at the Thunder Mesa Mercantile Building boutique and receive their well-earned surprise!
A new treasure hunt to come to the caves of Adventure Isle
Later this Summer, a new permanent treasure hunt will be launched for guests at the heart of Adventureland. The treasure hunt will take place in the mysterious caves of Adventure Isle, inspired by the story of Pirates of the Caribbean.
On scrolls posted at the entrance to the caves, famous characters from the attraction will challenge guests to find their lost possessions. They’ll need to explore the various caves to find a total of 8 lost objects – including a wooden leg, a fearless pirate’s hat, and a bunch of keys lost by a dog… which he absolutely needs to find to keep watch over the pirates locked up in the fort’s dark prisons!
This engaging adventure, featuring hand-painted posters and props inspired by the attraction, will enrich the Adventure Isle storyline and strengthen the connections between the many exciting experiences on offer in Adventureland.
