The snow glows white on the mountain tonight… On Wednesday 6 August 2025, construction of Elsa’s Ice Palace began atop the North Mountain! This marks a major milestone in the development of World of Frozen, set to open at Disney Adventure World in 2026.

It’s a big day for the Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams: the great North Mountain, whose 36-meter-high peak is the highest point of World of Frozen, is finally welcoming Elsa’s Ice Palace! This one-of-a-kind castle is a faithful replica of the one Elsa, whose “soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around”, magically creates during the iconic Let It Go scene.
After being designed and assembled in the United Kingdom, Elsa’s Ice Palace—standing approximately 13 meters tall—was transported to France to be placed atop the North Mountain. Made up of around thirty interconnected pieces and weighing 15 tons in total, this dazzling blue structure will overlook the Kingdom of Arendelle once its installation is complete. Its towers, embedded with ice crystals and more than 300 Swarovski® crystals, will bring unmatched sparkle to World of Frozen—during the day and also at night!
While the guests of Disneyland® Paris will soon be able to admire Elsa’s Ice Palace from afar, they’ll have to wait just a little longer until World of Frozen officially opens in 2026.
