May the 4th be with you on this Star Wars Day, an annual fan holiday to celebrate the love for all things Star Wars. At Disneyland® Paris, there are many ways to make it memorable. From new galactic food and merchandise to unforgettable entertainment and returning Star Wars favourites, take a look at some of the top highlights from across the galaxy!
Cross paths with Star Wars™ Characters from both sides of the saga
For the first time, Ahsoka will be visiting Disneyland® Park from 4 May to 11 May. While exploring, you may occasionally encounter fan favourites such as Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Din Djarin – also known as the Mandalorian – and Grogu. If you are looking to take a walk on the Dark Side, Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers can also be found roaming around Discoveryland.
Young Padawans may continue their Jedi training
From 4 May to 24 May, you can master the art of lightsaber wielding during a new walk-up interactive experience in Discoveryland! This hands-on moment – recommended for children under 10 – will reveal the ways of the Force, thanks to the knowledge of the Saja.
The BDX Droids will meet Disneyland Paris guests for the first time
In May 2025, the playful BDX Droids will premiere at Disneyland® Paris. Developed by Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, Disney Research and Disney Live Entertainment, these droids represent a breakthrough in robotics technology, delivering an unprecedented level of interactivity and character expression. With their adorable personalities and fun interactions with guests, they’re paving the way for the next generation of themed entertainment by combining cutting-edge robotics with heartfelt, character-driven storytelling. The BDX Droids also received the Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement – Technical Innovation in 2025, acknowledging exceptional achievements in the themed entertainment industry and celebrating the creative teams who bring immersive experiences to life.
At Disneyland® Paris, it will be possible to meet the BDX Droids at Discoveryland from May 4th, 2025 as a celebration of Star Wars Day, and for the following three weeks. For Kyle Laughlin, SVP of Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, the BDX Droids represent a big leap forward — not just for robotics, but for how Disney Characters are brought to life in the real world: “Technology is just the tool — we use it in service of story and emotion.” He adds about the BDX Droids: “Beyond the tech, what really sets them apart is that spark of personality — they’re full of life, and they make people smile. That’s what we’re really after: emotional connection through technology.”
