Calling all Space Mountain® enthusiasts, this announcement is for you! On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fan-favorite Disneyland Paris attraction, the Merchandising teams are thrilled to unveil an all-new range of collectible items that will soon be available in shops.
A Range of Collectible Items Inspired by the Iconic Attraction
In 1995, Disneyland Paris turned guests’ dreams of space travel into reality with the launch of a cutting-edge attraction named Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune. Thirty years later, this beloved ride continues to transport guests of all ages on an unforgettable journey to a galaxy far, far away!
To celebrate this special anniversary, the Merchandising teams at Disneyland Paris have created an exclusive range of themed items, giving fans of the attraction the chance to bring home souvenirs from their adventure to the furthest reaches of outer space! Inspired by the original version of the ride, this collection of items is set to land in the resort’s shops by the end of 2025.
The Columbiad Cannon
The all-new souvenir line will notably feature a miniature replica of the Columbiad Cannon. Meticulously crafted to capture the intricate details of the cylindrical structure that stands prominently atop the attraction’s roof, this collectible item is sure to remind guests of the moment they were “propelled into space.”
“I was lucky to be among the first guests to experience this attraction back in 1995. As such, it holds a special place in my heart, and this deep connection led me to create an item inspired by one of the attraction’s key architectural elements, enhanced with a rich array of details,” said Régis Alart, a product developer at Disneyland Paris.
Vehicles from Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune
What would this attraction be without its iconic vehicles? Miniature replicas of the ride’s original trains will also be available for purchase, offering shoppers a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
A new Jumbo Key
By the end of the summer, a jumbo-sized attraction key will also be hitting the shops’ shelves! With its “astronomical” dimensions, this collectible provides the perfect backdrop to pay homage to this legendary attraction.
“We designed a key that features many nods to the attraction and placed it in a box specially crafted for the occasion,” said Marylène Pourcelot, an illustrator at Disneyland Paris.
Dreamed up and brought to life by Disneyland Paris’ Merchandising teams, these finely detailed items celebrate the unique history of the beloved attraction, ascending to star status in the collections of every Space Mountain fan!
